Jon is the perfect partner for someone to have in their journey of finding a home. He is extremely motivated, engaged and very responsive. In days where time is literally money (24 hours can mean losing your shot in THE house, or >50k extra), you will need someone able to find the reality behind the “asking price” and get to the bottom of what is required in each situation very fast. I was flabbergasted to see how his assessments of property prices were always right.

From the time I told Jon that I loved a place, it took him less than 24h to run a thorough background check and to guarantee that that place was mine. I should mention that when I decided to put down an offer, there was another comparable place closing (same location, but 1bed and and 1bath less than mine). When I learned how much this one was sold for, I knew we had made a FANTASTIC deal!

The reality of real estate in Toronto and the adjacent areas is that you have to be quick, REALLY quick. You need an agent who you can count on literally at any time of the day to be there for you, and Jon is that guy! We went from seeing the place to making an offer and to buying the place within 12 hours really. Jon worked tirelessly throughout the process – all the way up to past midnight to ensure all the paperwork was in order once we were committed to making an offer on our new home. He also managed to negotiate timelines that worked in our favour rather than leave the market open to bidding. If Jon hadn’t stepped up, we wouldn’t be homeowners today.

On a personal note, I found Jon to be very level-headed and forthcoming in our discussions. His assessments of property values helped us gauge what we really could and couldn’t afford. This is key, because most (all) properties in this region go well above asking and a true assessment is essential to help you save your sweat and tears. We found him to be very courteous, detail-oriented and someone who genuinely seemed to be involved in this journey with us as a ‘partner’ as he likes to call it. The thing that stood out most was the time and care put in to finding us a solution that worked for our situation. Anytime we had a question he was either available right away or called back once he was available. At one point he called while on his vacation, on a Friday evening, because we had an urgent request.
